Job Description

 

College of the Atlantic, a mission-driven college focused on human ecology, seeks a full-time Coordinator of International Student Services to support a diverse international student population (25% of the student body).

The position requires strong interpersonal communication skills, cultural competence, and the ability to work independently with excellent attention to detail. Experience with the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and F-1 visa regulations is essential. A bachelor’s degree is required, and preference will be given to candidates with significant experience in international education or personal experience in an international context. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required per DHS regulations.

Key responsibilities include serving as the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) for SEVIS, advising international students on F-1 status and related issues, and ensuring institutional compliance with federal immigration regulations. The Coordinator will also develop programs to support student transitions to and from the U.S., liaise with the Davis United World College Scholars Program, and assist with other student life responsibilities as assigned. Job Requirements
