The William E. Boeing Department of Aeronautics & Astronautics at the University of Washington (A&A) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position with a nine-month service period, with an anticipated start date of September 01, 2025.

Candidates are being considered in the area of computational modeling and data science. Areas of particular interest include but are not limited to the development and application of computational modeling, verification and validation, uncertainty quantification, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other data science to existing and emerging areas in A&A, such as fluid dynamics, structures, controls, or plasma physics.  Candidates will be expected to complement existing A&A research areas or other areas on campus.

The base salary range for this position will be $14,000.00 to $17,000.00 per month (with a nine-month service period), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.  Other compensation associated with this position may include a one-time relocation incentive.

Job Requirements

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in an appropriate engineering or related discipline by the date of appointment.
